If you’re interested in
EITHER
History
OR
Mathematics
AND
exploring the potential for each to enrich
Education
in the other…
… then have I got just the thing for you!
I’ve set up a Network that aims to facilitate the sharing of ideas, resources, and research on these themes. The idea is that none of us are experts in History and Maths and Education, but all of us have some experience in History or Maths or Education, and are excited by the idea of working collaboratively to improve experiences of students learning about either subject.
It’s a new network, and as it’s designed to be collaborative, we need members to make it work. Membership is free and open to anyone: all you need to be is someone who feels that the description above speaks to them, and all you need to do, for now, is sign up to our Jiscmail discussion list.
As the network grows, we aim to highlight relevant resources and events, but the core aim is to build a community that facilitates connections between individuals with complimentary skills, interests and experiences, such that the network might start to add to existing research and develop its own bank of resources and tools.
The network is called HaMiEN: the History and Maths in Education Network: visit historyand.mathsy.space to find out more, browse some resources, and get involved.
