I was asked to provide a talk about my book, The Mathematicians’ Library, for CILIP (the library and information association) at their 2025 Unconference in Milton Keynes on 3rd October 2025.
I spoke to a small but very receptive audience of library professionals about some of my motivations for writing the book, and then related a few of my favourite stories included in it. Around half of the attendees bought a copy of my book (I’m glad I took a box along!), and some really interesting questions were asked.
The timetable for the CILIP Unconference plan for the weekend was packed full of interesting-sounding activities; had I been available I would very much like to have joined in with them all!
