Online Course: MNDA Care Worker’s Module

The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) has a collection of online courses hosted on the Open University’s OpenLearn Create learning platform. They commissioned me to update the Care Worker’s Module, the purpose of which is “to introduce [new MNDA Care Workers] to the issues surrounding the care for people living with MND and discusses equipment and procedures you may encounter in this role.

I adapted existing materials originally developed for a different platform, introducing interactive elements and ensuring that the course fits with the intended “look and feel” required by the MNDA.

I would like to mention that the original course had been transferred to its new home at OpenLearn Create by my friend and ex-colleague, Simon Thompson. We were due to work on this project together when he sadly passed away. He had been volunteering on similar projects for the MNDA for a number of years.
