I first encountered Tom when he gave a talk at Dulwich College as part of their “The College at War” series. He was sharing the platform with the BBC News Correspondent, Nick Higham, who succinctly summed up Tom’s presentation with the words “I’m supposed to be the communicator. How do I follow that?” As a professional Lecturer and Trainer I tend to be rather critical about presenters’ skills and styles, but Tom excelled. His fascinating and illuminating enthusiasm made an interesting subject compulsive listening. Tom possesses the ability to judge his audience and adapt his delivery to them. He is a natural communicator who could make a talk on telephone directories riveting.
